Who can withdraw Stars through Fragment?
Fragment is Telegram's official route for converting earned Stars into the network's cryptocurrency. It is not a general-purpose exchange for every Stars balance. The withdrawal is available to the owner of a channel, bot or mini app that received Stars through Telegram monetization: paid messages, reactions, subscriptions, bot payments and mini-app sales.
Regular users who bought Stars for gifts or spent them inside Telegram normally cannot withdraw them through Fragment. If you see a “Withdraw” button but your balance is below the minimum or still pending, the Stars are not yet eligible. Telegram and Fragment control these rules, and they can change.
Requirements and eligibility
- You must be the owner of the channel, bot or mini app that earned the Stars.
- Your available balance must be at least 1,000 Stars. Pending Stars are not included.
- Each Star must be at least about 21 days old. New Stars stay pending until the hold expires.
- You need a TON wallet address (for example, Tonkeeper) and access to the Telegram account with two-step verification.
- The payout is made in TON — the token was renamed GRAM in June 2026, but many interfaces still show TON.
Step-by-step Fragment withdrawal
- Open Telegram and go to Settings → My Stars, or open your channel/bot monetization section.
- Check the available balance. If it is below 1,000 Stars, wait until enough Stars clear the hold.
- Tap Withdraw. Telegram opens a secure Fragment link.
- Connect Telegram and a TON wallet on Fragment. Confirm the wallet address carefully.
- Review the USD payout rate and the estimated TON/GRAM amount.
- Confirm the withdrawal and approve the transaction in your wallet.
- The payout usually arrives within a minute after processing; keep the transaction details.
Why is my withdrawal pending?
The 21-day hold is Telegram's fraud-prevention window. It allows chargebacks and payment disputes to resolve before creators can withdraw. If your available balance is zero but your total is above 1,000, the Stars are probably still inside the hold period. Wait until they mature, then check the available balance again.
Other reasons for a delay include: the balance is below 1,000 available Stars, the wallet address is wrong or on another network, the Telegram account does not have the required verification, or Fragment is processing a high volume. Contact the bot/channel support and Fragment support with the transaction details; never send funds to an unverified address.
Fees and timing
Telegram does not charge a fee to withdraw Stars. The official payout is pegged to US dollars at Telegram's rate, but it is delivered in TON/GRAM, so the coin amount depends on the market price at the time of withdrawal. You may pay blockchain network fees and exchange fees when you move or sell the coins. Selling the payout the same day can reduce price exposure.

When to choose which route
- Choose Fragment if you are a creator with a large earned balance, can wait about 21 days and want the official USD-pegged payout.
- Choose an instant exchange if you have a small balance, do not qualify as a creator, or need USDT quickly and accept a lower rate.
- Never use an unverified service. Verify the bot username, start with a small amount and keep records.
- Consider taxes. Creator income and crypto sales may be taxable; keep records and consult a professional.

Frequently asked questions
Can I withdraw less than 1,000 Telegram Stars?
Not through the official Fragment route. The minimum is 1,000 available Stars. An independent instant exchange may accept smaller amounts, but it is a separate service with its own rate and risks.
Why do I have to wait 21 days?
The hold is a fraud-prevention window that allows payment disputes and chargebacks to resolve before creators withdraw. Each Star becomes eligible about 21 days after it was received.
Do I need KYC to withdraw Stars?
You need access to the Telegram account that owns the Stars and a TON wallet. Fragment may ask for identity verification in some cases. Exchanges that convert TON/GRAM to fiat usually require KYC.
Is GRAM the same as TON?
The blockchain is still called TON, but the native token was renamed from Toncoin (TON) to Gram (GRAM) in June 2026. Many wallets and exchanges still display TON. The rename is 1:1; no swap is required.
What happens if I bought Stars in the app?
Purchased Stars are normally for spending inside Telegram, not for withdrawal through Fragment. Independent exchange bots work differently: they accept Stars as payment for a digital service and pay out USDT. Check the service terms and local rules.
Why is my withdrawal still pending after 21 days?
Check the available balance, not the total. If it is above 1,000 and still pending, contact Fragment support with the transaction details. Do not send additional funds to an unverified address.
